Peggy Ryan Vessier, 83, a resident of Franklinton passed away Sunday November 7, 2021 at her home. She was a longtime active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she sang with the church choir. Peggy was an avid reader and loved going out on dinner trips with her sister Pat and friends Sue and Marsha. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

3 Daughters and Sons in law: Lisa and Charles Ackerman of Franklinton, Patty Hunt, Amy and Dr. Jody George all of Lake Charles
9 Grandchildren and Spouses: Jim Bourgeois, Jennifer B. and Trey McDaniel, Connor and Megan Ackerman, Nathan and Lauren Ackerman, Ryan Hunt, Lee and Kayla Hunt, Will George, Rebekah George, Robert George
Great-grandchildren: Korie Bourgeois, Aubrey McDaniel, Kade McDaniel, Reed McDaniel, Ava Claire Hunt, Kolby Robertson, Hayden Hunt, Knox Hunt
Sister: Patricia Jones of Franklinton
Brother and Sister in law: Rodney and Ella Ryan of Friendsville, TN

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Joseph Vessier, Jr. sons in law Jim Bourgeois, Bruce Hunt, sister Maxine Jones, brothers Jim Ryan, Jerry Gibson, brother in law Marion Jones.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Wednesday November 10th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.
