Ramona Vivian Varnado Magee, 62, a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community passed away Tuesday evening December 19, 2023 at her home. She was a dental assistant for Fussell Dentistry for 33 years before retiring. However, Ramona continued to work around town as a manager at Winn-Dixie for 10 years, the Shell service station in Franklinton for 10 years and also Sugar Shack for 5 years, before finally retiring for good to spend time at home. She always loved visiting with the countless customers she had met over the years. Ramona enjoyed watching her favorite home improvement and singing competition TV shows. She liked to complete puzzle books and feed the friendly cows that came up to her fence every day. Ramona liked singing while she worked around the house and she had a special place in her heart for her pet cat “Lil’ Buddy”.

Grandchildren: Andrew Jenkins and Rory Evans, Savannah Rowell Boutwell and Kristian Boutwell, Ashlyn Gerald, LaCristen Flynt
Great-grandsons: Leo Jenkins, Hayden Boutwell
Brothers: Tony Varnado, Randy Varnado, Charles Varnado
Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Vivian and Bruce Ard, Mack Magee, Roy and Joyce Magee, Karen Williams

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Magee, son Bobby Shane Magee, parents Harvel Varnado and Edna Fay Ray Varnado, sister Diana Varnado, father in law and mother in law Woodrow and Wilkie Magee, brother in law Jimmie Magee and other family members.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday December 22nd from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Friday with Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
