Roy Douglas Davis, 50, a resident of the Richardson Community died Friday November 5, 2021. He worked in yard maintenance and landscaping for several years and also worked on dairy farms in earlier years. Roy loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He liked to spend time on the river and enjoyed searching for arrowheads and unique rocks. Roy was always a good cook and he loved having fun with the young kids in his family or even those he had just met. He will be missed greatly by his family and others that knew him.

3 Granddaughters: Mia Jones, Krislynn Jones, Brooklyn Ellis
Mother and Step-father: Judith and Robert L. Simmons of the Richardson Community
Sister: Rosemary Davis Mitchell of Hawaii
Brother: Craig Newcomb of Luling
Niece: Sarah Newcomb
Also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Forbes, brother in law Scott Mitchell and his grandparents.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday November 12th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm Friday with Rev. Daniel Barber and Rev. Scott Breland officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
