Shirley Elaine Davis Jones, 93, passed away Friday afternoon October 18, 2024 at Belle Maison Nursing Home. Mrs. Shirley was a house-wife who cared deeply about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and also had a special place in her heart for her pet Chihuahua Coco. She enjoyed reading, playing solitaire, and spending time with her family.
Survived by:
Daughters and sons in law: Martha and Dominick Battaglia, Cheryl and Tom McCorkle, and Faith and Roger Walker.
Son: Walter H. Shedd, Jr.
11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by: son James S. Corley, granddaughter Lisa McCorkle, great-grandson Micah McCorkle, sister Joal Soles, and the fathers of her children Wilbur Corley and Walter Shedd, Sr.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family.
The family was served by Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton.
