Teresa “Terry” Stafford Morgan, 63,And a resident of Franklinton passed away Tuesday December 3, 2024 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, after a very courageous 14 year battle with cancer. Terry was an inspiration to all that knew her for the resolve she displayed during her health struggles.
She was a graduate of Franklinton High School Class of 1979 and worked as the secretary of First Baptist Church of Franklinton for 16 years. She later worked alongside attorney Wayne Kuhn for 26 years before serving as the assistant to Washington Parish President Richard Thomas for several years.
Terry enjoyed spending time at the river, fishing and tending to her flower beds. She adored her young grandchildren and cherished all the time they spent together, including this recent wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Terry will be forever missed by her family, friends and the many co-workers she loved through the years.

Brother and Sister in law: Mike and Joy Stafford of Franklinton
Sister in law and Brother in law: Tracey and Jimmy Thomas of Thomas
Brother in law and Sister in law: Clay and Lindsay Morgan of Franklinton
Nieces: Michelle Martin Russo, Megan Stafford Matherne and their families
Her Friend Wayne Kuhn and her many dear friends at Washington Parish Government

She was preceded in death by her father Elroy Stafford, mother in law and father in law Nelda and Bobby Lewis, father in law and mother in law Kenneth and Shirley Morgan and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks the public to honor her memory by serving those in need as a blood donor, as often as possible, and to register as a bone marrow donor, a critical aspect to the life-saving treatment of various cancers like Terry’s. (www.nmdp.org)
