Virginia Wedgeworth Spencer, 69, a resident of Franklinton passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. She was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on December 12, 1953. She received the Holy Ghost speaking in tongue and was baptized in Jesus Name in the early 1980’s at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. She was secretary for the Faith Tabernacle Church School for 18 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Daughter and son in law: Rachel and Samuel Matney of Pine
Son and daughter in law: Brent and Kelly Lynn Spencer of Covington
4 Granddaughters: Leah M. Brooks, Faith M. Tate, Riley Spencer, Molly Spencer
Twin sisters: Helen Louis Evan of Camden, Arkansas, Louise Dowling of Magnolia, Arkansas
Pamela Benson of Mena, Arkansas
Brother: Ray Wedgeworth of Hot Springs, Arkansas
She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Ray and LaDeene Burdins Wedgeworth and a sister Diane Johnson.
Visitation will be at Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9 pm and after 9 am Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday with Rev. Bryan Bates and Rev. Daniel Hanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
