Phyllis Estelle Morris Cotton, 87, a resident of Franklinton, passed away early Sunday morning September 6, 2026 at her home. She and her husband were the owners of Cotton’s Supply, a plumbing and water well service company. Phyllis also owned Cotton’s Couriers, working with Dairy Farmers of America in Franklinton for several years, carrying milk samples. She was a longtime active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she helped prepare and serve food at all the church meals and gatherings. She enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and alongside her husband traveled to shows and festivals all throughout the area. Phyllis’ recent favorite hobby was completing jig-saw puzzles. She had a special place in her heart for her pet Yorkie “Rosie” and she cherished all the time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Cotton, parents Emmett Morris and Letha Smith Morris, great-grandchild Blakely Mizell, brother in law Billy Knight, father in law and mother in law Dan and Letha Cotton and other family members.
A memorial service for her family and friends will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 2:00 pm Sunday September 13th.
The family was served by Crain Funeral Home of Franklinton.
