The Pine Raiders pushed their record to 2-0 on the young 2025 football season as they took a 44-19 win over Independence last Friday night.
With the win, the surging Raiders are now looking toward taking on Franklinton this Friday night at Demon Stadium in Franklinton.
Against Independence, Delvonta Gardner had an interception, returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and picked up a total of 66 yards receiving.
The entire team played well, and head coach Bradley Seal was pleased with the effort. He noted that the Raiders were strong on both sides of the ball, defensively as well as offensively.
The undefeated Raiders in their first two games have amassed 81 points while holding their opponents to just 33.
The Pine-Franklinton game is almost always hard fought, being as it is between cross-parish rivals.
