Pine closed out its fine 2026 baseball season with a 16-14 record after falling to Erath in Regional action of the state Division III baseball playoffs.
The loss to Erath came following the Raiders’ first-round playoff sweep of Lakeside at home in Pine.
But the Erath regional was on the road, last Thursday and Friday at Erath in far southwest Louisiana, more than 3 hours away from Pine.
Erath won the first game of a best 2-of-3 series 8-2,and then took the second game 6-0.
Erath now moves into the quarterfinals.
Pine moved into the Regionals after defeating Lakeside 4-2 and 5-1 in Games 1 & 2 in the best 2-of-3 Round One of the Playoffs series.
