Hello again everyone. December is a very busy month. Many activities going on. The Lawrence Creek Baptist Church Sunday School kids visited the two convalescent homes in Franklinton. Then they had a time of fun and fellowship at Pizza Inn.
I was a little under the weather this past weekend, o I wasn't able to make it to the Pine Christmas Extravaganza, or parade. I'm sure it was all very nice.
Congratulations to the Franklinton High School Football team for a very successful season. They made it to the Superdome last weekend but they were not able to come away with the win. Congratulations to Cecilia High School for the win and becoming the state champions.
Happy Birthday to the following: ..... Adney Whaley, Glenda Edwards, Emily Cooper, Linda Magee, Bubba Taylor, Jenifer Beltran, and our nephew, Blake Hunt.
Please remember the following families in your prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved ones: . . . . The Jo Anne Polk Family, The Homer Sheridan Family, and The Larry Wayne Brumfield Family.
We are getting close to the ending of another year. How time flies! I would like to encourage all the folks in the Pine, Thomas, Stateline area to send their news to me so I can put it in this column, for the upcoming year. All Birthdays, Anniversaries, School and Church events, etc. are welcome. Send to my email address at Lerandhunt@hotmail.com or text me at 985-515-6041.
Last weeks Bible question: . . . . What does the seed stand for in the parable of the sower?..... The answer is "The Word of God". This found in Luke 8:11
This week's Bible question: . . . Why did Joseph have to be taxed and where did he have to go to be taxed?
Quote for the week: . . . . "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." ......Luke 2: 10-11.
OK ya'll, stay warm. They are predicting another cool down this weekend. Have a great week. Till next time:
