The hot streak of the Franklinton Demons continued Tuesday night in Monroe, as FHS upset #4 seeded Carroll High School to move into the state basketball quarterfinals.
The Demons will take on #5 Brusly High Friday night in Brusly, which is located in West Baton Rouge Parish.
With the upset 49-47 win over Carroll, the red hot Demons are now 9-1 in their last 10 games.
The Demons defeated #20 Sterlington in the first round, 56-50, setting up the 2nd round game with Monroe Carroll.
As the #13 seed, the Demons have been on the road for their first two games, winning both of them.
For a high school basketball team, winning a playoff game against a much higher seed on the road is a difficult accomplishment, yet the Demons have now done it in their win over Monroe Carroll.
