Rene Thomas Vessier II (Tom), 68, a lifetime resident of Franklinton passed away at his home on April 1, 2025, after a long illness.
Tom was born on July 8, 1956, at the Stafford Clinic in Franklinton.
He was taught welding skills by his father working at Vessier Machine Shop. He also learned carpet laying, cleaning and repair. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad as well as camping and cooking his catch.
Tom was a great cook and liked to prepare meals with friends while talking about music and movies. He remained close to his friends from "The Class of 1975".
He is survived by his loving sister Toni Vessier Leuer as well as various Vessier and Toney's cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Rene Thomas Vessier I "R.T.", and Marilyn Toney Vessier.
