To the Worthy Matron, Worthy Patron, and other officers and all members of Noble Queen Chapter No. 45, Order of the Eastern Star.
We, the undersigned Committee, appointed by the Worthy Matron to write a Resolution of Sorrow and Respect to honor our deceased Member, Sister Martha Dolores McClendon Stevens, submit the following:
WHEREAS, On November 20, 2024, our beloved sister and friend, Dolores McClendon Stevens, departed from this world to enter the Heavenly Portals of God's Kingdom to receive her reward for her earthly labors and to dwell eternally in the Beautiful City of Life, enjoying peace and fellowship with other departed loved ones and God's angels, adding another bright link to our Golden Chain, and,
WHEREAS, she was a member of Noble Queen Chapter No. 45, Order of the Eastern Star many years, and her devotion and loyalty to the order were reflected in her life of Noble principles and obedience to its teachings, and,
WHEREAS, she was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, an active member of Sunlight Baptist Church of Franklinton, where she served her church family in many ways through the years. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and Son in law, her Grandchildren, and other family members. She was a kind and gracious Neighbor and Friend, who will be greatly missed by Family and Friends,
THEREFORE, we, the Members of Noble Queen Chapter No. 45, resolve that we will ever honor her beloved Memory, and strive to emulate her virtues, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Members of the Family, a copy published in The Era Leader, and a copy placed in the Minutes of Noble Queen Chapter No. 45, Order of the Eastern Star.
