The Waverley Club met on Thursday, April 2 at the beautifully decorated Rock House. Tables clothed in spring colors of pink, green, and lavender featured centerpieces of fresh flowers and the mantle depicted the Easter story. Ladies enjoyed a lunch of pimento cheese sandwiches, Waldorf chicken salad, fresh fruit, deviled eggs, and strawberry finger sandwiches. Decorated petit fours were served for dessert. Following a business meeting, election of Waverley's newest members, and plans for the May picnic, ladies enjoyed a trivia game centered around the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Prizes were handmade wooden crosses created by Randy Magee.
