Southeastern Louisiana University is hosting an Artificial Intelligence Launchpad workshop that will provide Agentic AI solutions for business owners. Sponsored by Louisiana Economic Development, the workshop is scheduled in Southeastern’s Student Union Ballroom Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., with faculty-lead coaching provided to attendees.
Dean of Research and Innovation Daniel McCarthy said the purpose of the workshop is to help businesses develop the ability to implement AI tools that are customized for their own operations and goals. Businesses of all sizes that are interested in developing their own AI solutions, such as agents and workflows, to improve their operations but do not have the resources are perfect candidates to attend the workshop.
“This is a very active and hands-on workshop. After presentations about ways in which you can implement AI solutions, the afternoon will be spent with attendees working directly with our faculty to identify opportunities and build their own AI solutions,” he said. “We also want organizations to learn how to adopt AI in a safe, secure, and ethical manner while creating real business value.”
The Artificial Intelligence Launchpad workshop is open to all levels of AI knowledge. Attendees will be grouped based on their AI knowledge and experience so faculty can customize the workshop accordingly. Whether just getting started or already using AI tools, attendees will find value in the workshop, McCarthy said.
Registration is $50 for individuals or $500 for a reserved table for eight and is available at https://www.southeastern.edu/foundation/giving-opportunities/the-ai-launchpad/.
