FHS Demons won "bizarre" Abbeville game, 50-12

The Franklinton Demons football team survived a non-district game with the Abbeville Wildcats last Friday, 50-12. The win moves the Demons’ overall record to 6-1. The Demons will travel to Pearl River this week as they resume district action. Pearl River is 3-3 on the season and they are desperate for a win to qualify for the playoffs.

Bowling Green preparing for playoffs after loss to Oak Forest

In their final regular-season game, the Bowling Green Buccaneers fell to the Oak Forest Jackets 21-49, bringing their overall record to 6-4. Despite the loss, the Buccaneers secured the number two seed in the MAIS 4A playoff brackets as District 3 Champions.

Pine falls to Amite, plays Sumner next

The Pine Raiders suffered their second defeat of the season last Thursday, dropping a district game to Amite, 33-13.
The game started off badly for the Raiders as Amite scored twice in the first quarter to take a 13-0 lead.

Game of the Week - Amite (4-2) at Pine (5-1). This game could be a really good game and the winner will have solid leverage over the district lead. Amite struggled early in the season while Pine has been rolling all season and this game will tell if Amite has gotten back to form and will tell if Pine is a contender.
