The Pine Raiders ran their season record to 4-0 last Friday night with a solid 42-8 win over Livingston Collegiate.
The Raiders will entertain East Iberville this coming Friday night for Homecoming as they attempt to keep their win streak alive before starting district action against other 8-3A teams. District play for Pine begins October 6 when the Raiders will face Albany.
Coach Bradley Seal was pleased with his team’s effort.
"Right now, we are playing really well as a team in all three phases. Livingston won nine games last year and a playoff game and a big part of that was because of their defensive line. Our offensive line knew they were good and responded to the challenge. I'm proud of them. Von Johnson had a big game for us with 18 rushes for 77 yards and a touchdown as well as a kick return for a touchdown. James Owens had 138 yards rushing on 8 carries. Our defense is playing really well right now."
Pine has amassed a whopping 188 points for vs 16 points against during its first four games.
