Adjustments earn Bill Self second national title at Kansas

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kansas spent the first 20 minutes forcing shots and passes, missing layups and pressing the issue instead of pressing forward.

The next 20 turned into a master class in coaching by Bill Self — with a spicy dash of Remy Martin.

No more big-game letdowns. Self had his elusive second national title.

Saints adding defensive end Charlton, defensive back Evans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have agreed to free-agent contracts with defensive end Taco Charlton and defensive back Justin Evans, general manager Mickey Loomis said Monday.

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Charlton played for Pittsburgh last season, appearing in 11 games with one start. He had half a sack among 18 tackles.
