Minnie Posey, Chairman of the Flower House, has released the student categories for student exhibits for the upcoming fair. It is not too early to begin thinking about entries. Arrangements must be made by students only and all fresh plant material designs or fresh and dried designs are acceptable. Any driftwood may be used. Accessories such as feathers and glitter may be used but no real bird's nests are allowed. Each student must enter the grade category that he or she is presently in. Flowers may also be purchased. The categories are
Ages 2 - Kindergarten - Red, White and Blue on Parade or Wildflowers in a Jar/Can
Grades 1-2 - Uncle Sam or My Dried Find
Grades 3-4 - Celebrating 250th Birthday or Basket Full of Fun
Grades 5-6 - Down Home Pride or Riding in My Pickup Truck
Grades 7-8 - Fireworks or Beach Party
Grades 9-10 - Pep Rally or Friday Night Lights
Grades 11-12 - National Parks or National Holidays
College - Bonfires and Tailgates or First Pitch
