Franklinton Council plans revised ordinance to enable Chamber of Commerce event

At the March 14, 2023, meeting of the Franklinton Board of Alderman, Franklinton Chamber of Commerce president Joe Felder presented to the board an activity hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. On May 6, the Chamber will host "Lawn chairs and Lemonade" in the parking lot on Main and Jackson Streets with vendors set up on Pearl Street.

Parish School Board hears of students' accomplishments

At the March meeting of the Washington Parish School Board, student groups from each of the four parish high schools were on hand to share some accomplishments. First, Franklinton High School Principal Shane Smith introduced Nate Murray, Jobs for American Graduates (JAG) teacher.
