Hello again everyone. Well, ole man Winter kinda showed out last week, huh? I hope you all stayed warm and didn't have any water pipes to freeze and burst. I said last week that I was planning to burn up some firewood, but didn't know I was going to burn almost all I had. I saw where some folks got a little snow as well.

Hello again everyone. Well, by the time you are reading this, and according to the weather forecast, it's pretty cold today. What do you think about all these cold temperatures? My understanding is that they supposed to hang around for a while too. Please check in on all your elderly family members and make sure they are safe and warm.

Hello again to everyone. The new year is up and running. My wife and I were privileged to be at Bro. David Barber's house, along with several of the members of Acy's Creek Baptist Church for food, fellowship, and shooting fireworks on New Year's Eve. We had a wonderful time, and the fireworks were awesome.

Well Glory!! It's good to be back writing again. I apologize to my readers for missing the last two issues of the Era-Leader. On Sat. Dec. 16th I took my wife to the Emergency Room at St. Tammany hospital. She had severe pain in the stomach area. After test they found she had a bowel obstruction.
