Attractive new sign at Enon Elementary

Folks driving on Highway 16 through the Enon community have probably noticed the attractive new sign in front of Enon Elementary School.

The sign was the result of a successful fundraising effort of the school. It has already resulted in compliments.

Parish School Superintendent Jennifer Thomas said, "It looks great!"

LSU in NCAA Baseball Super Regional this coming weekend

Washington Parish LSU fans were nervous and worried this past weekend as the Tigers unexpectedly fell to Little Rock in Game 2 of NCAA regional action.

But LSU came flying back in Game 3 on Monday, using a 3-run 9th inning to clinch the deciding win over Little Rock and moving into the Super Regional this coming weekend.
