Brent Jones has been promoted to Chief Deputy at the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.
He succeeds Mike Haley, who is retiring as Chief Deputy after 11 years.
Jones is the son of the late former Sheriff Aubrey Jones and the late Jean Jones. He has served in the Sheriff’s Office in a variety of positions. Previously, he was a Division Chief for the District Attorney’s Office. Jones is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.
Sheriff Randy Seal congratulated Mike Haley on his retirement and thanked him for his years of service. The Sheriff welcomed Jones to the position of Chief Deputy.
