Early voting for the November 18 run-off election begins next week.
Early voting will be conducted from November 3 through November 11, except for Sunday, November 5 and also except for Friday, November 10, which is Veterans Day.
Early voting will be conducted at the Registrar of Voter’s office in the Courthouse and at Sullivan Technical College in Bogalusa from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.
On Election Day, Saturday, November 18, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Run-offs will be held for several statewide offices, but most of the local focus seems to be on the run-offs for two parishwide offices, one legislative position, and one parish council seat.
A run-off election will be held for Sheriff between incumbent Randy Seal and challenger Jason Smith.
For Parish President, Ryan Seal and Malinda White are the run-off candidates.
In the race for 75th District state representative, a run-off will be held between John Wyble and Kelvin May.
In Parish Council District 6, a run-off will be held between incumbent Reginald McMasters and challenger Dwayne Magee.
Run-offs are required when no candidate in the October 14 primary received more than 50% of the vote. In that case, the top two candidates advanced to the run-off.
