Final preparations are now underway for the 2024 Washington Parish Watermelon Festival.
The Festival will be held at the Fairgrounds on Friday, July 5, Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and rodeo action is scheduled for both Friday and Saturday evenings. Another planned highlight is fireworks at 9 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a watermelon auction featuring some of the biggest and sweetest melons available. And don’t miss the watermelon eating and seed spitting contests, as well as a watermelon roll on Saturday.
