Alayna Magee is an outstanding 8th grade student at Franklinton Junior High School. She is the daughter of April Magee, and the granddaughter of Tim and Maureen Magee, all proud residents of Franklinton.
On November 9, 2023, Alayna was honored with the title of FJHS Student of the Year, a testament to her exemplary dedication and achievements. Following this, she competed at the district level, where her exceptional performance during the rigorous interview process led to her being named Washington Parish Junior High Student of the Year.
Taking her achievements to new heights, Alayna competed against students from Region 6, encompassing Washington, Livingston, Tangipahoa, Ascension, and East Baton Rouge Parish. On December 14, 2023, she emerged victorious, earning the prestigious title of Region 6 Junior High Student of the Year. This historic accomplishment marks the first time in FJHS history that one of our students has been named as a Regional Student of the Year.
Alayna’s excellence extends beyond academics, as she holds the positions of Student Body Vice President, Beta Club President, Captain of the Pep Squad, and a dedicated member of the Making A Difference Club. Notably, she is a banner roll student, ranking among the top 5 students in her class.
As Alayna prepares to compete for the Louisiana State Junior High Student of the Year, which will be announced in the spring, we want to extend our best wishes to her. Franklinton Junior High School is already immensely proud of Alayna and her outstanding accomplishments. Please join us in congratulating Alayna on her well-deserved successes and wishing her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
