The Franklinton Police Department has arrested 36 year-old Chad Martin Hensley, a resident of Lee Street in Franklinton, after a month long investigation.
Officers with the Franklinton Police Department, assisted by deputies with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, conducted a search warrant which resulted in the arrest of Hensley on warrants for Exploitation of the Infirmed, Illegal Transmission of Monetary Funds (8 counts), Identity Theft (2 counts), and Theft (felony over $5000).
Sgt. Trey Johnson led the investigation which began after receiving a complaint regarding a theft from an infirmed person. Sgt. Johnson is asking that any person having knowledge of this case or information where an elderly or infirmed person's identity is being fraudulently used, should contact him at FPD.
FPD Chief Justin Brown commended the work of Sergeant Johnson and noted the investigation is still ongoing. He said additional charges can be expected as the investigation continues.
