Franklinton Police Chief Justin Brown is urging drivers to be extra careful this coming Tuesday evening, October 31, which is Halloween. With many youngsters trick-or-treating, caution is the watchword.
Brown said, “Be mindful of pedestrians crossing the street, especially in low light conditions. Our officers will be out working speeding enforcement and the speed limit will be strictly enforced. We recommend driving well below the speed limit in residential neighborhoods and on Main Street.”
The chief said parents are encouraged to walk with their children and use some type of flashlight, strobe or reflective device.
