The G.R.I.T.S. girls' red had group gathered in August at Mike's Catfish restaurant in Amite, with Lorell Morris as hostess using a fall fling theme.
Several announcements were made, and we have several on our prayer calendar. Frances Schilling gave our prayer and the blessing for our food. Hazel Estave was our August birthday lady. We sang happy birthday to her and filled out several get-well cards. Door prize winners were Ann Hingle, Brenda Hayden and Dot Kinlaw -- each received a jar of homemade muscadine jelly made by the hostess.
