First Baptist Church of Franklinton's Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) recently returned from a trip to Branson, Missouri. The 40 travelers included members of fourteen local churches: First Baptist Franklinton, Mt. Pisgah Baptist, Bolivar Baptist, Mt. Hermon Baptist, Mt. Hermon Methodist, Holy Family Catholic, Centenary Methodist, Walker First Baptist, Lexie Baptist, Enon Baptist, Plainview Baptist, Calvary Christian Fellowship, Hillcrest Baptist, and First Baptist Church Poplarville.
While in Branson the group enjoyed shows by The Haygoods, The Irish Tenors and Celtic Ladies, a Tribute to Neil Diamond, the Presley Family, Doug Gabrielle, and the story of a girl who saved a nation, Queen Esther. First Baptist Franklinton Associate Pastor Joey Miller and his wife Karen coordinated the six-day event.
