The Heisman Trophy Trust has announced the 2022 School Winners for the Heisman High School Scholarship.
From an applicant pool of thousands of high school scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2023, Mt. Hermon School Student Daeshaun James has been named a Winner in the Heisman High School Scholarship competition awarded by The Heisman Trophy Trust.
Daeshaun maintains a 3.2 Grade Point Average and is a member and officer of the MHS Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Good Samaritan Club and Senior Class Officer. He is a 4-year member of the MHS Yellowjackets Track and Field Team and Yellowjackets Baseball Team and a 2-year member of the Yellowjackets Basketball Team. He was also named Class B District Shot Put Champion in 2021.
Daeshaun will continue on for the chance to become a National Heisman Finalist where, if he wins, he will receive a $2,000 college scholarship and a possible $10,000 college scholarship if he is awarded national status.
The Heisman High School Scholarship extends the Heisman prestige to our nation's most esteemed high school seniors by recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholar-athletes who understand that the most important victories not only happen on the field, but in their schools and communities.
