For high school principals, teachers, and other school employees, this is one of the busiest times of the entire school year. Graduation planning and then the actual ceremony itself require plenty of advance effort.
It is also a busy time for high school seniors and their parents as they look forward not just to graduation but also to the road ahead.
As always, The Era-Leader will present its annual Graduation Edition in early May. It will contain color photos of our parish’s 2024 high school graduates. A week after the Graduation Edition is published, we also cover the local high school graduations and devote a full page of color photos to each school.
This year, the local graduations will begin with Bowling Green School on Friday, May 3, at 6 p.m.
Next is Pine High, graduating on Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, May 10, Franklinton High’s graduation ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
Mount Hermon School and Varnado High School will both hold their graduation ceremonies on Saturday, May 11.
Mount Hermon’s ceremony starts at 10 a.m., while Varnado’s will start at 7:30 p.m.
Congratulations to all of Washington Parish’s 2024 high school graduates!
