Schools will host Veterans Day programs

Local schools will be hosting Veterans Day programs on Thursday, November 9th and Friday, November 10th.

(Please notice that the Bowling Green program listed below is on Thursday. In the printed edition of The Era-Leader this week, we incorrectly wrote Friday instead of Thursday.)

Here is the listing of programs:

•Franklinton High School: A breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. FRIDAY in the library with the program to follow. Veterans, spouses, and active military personnel are invited.

•Bowling Green School: A lunch for veterans starts at noon THURSDAY in the Sports Complex, with the program to follow at 1 p.m. in the main gym.

•Pine High School: A breakfast will be served for veterans at 8 a.m., FRIDAY with the program to follow.

•Mount Hermon School: The MHS program begins at 9 a.m. FRIDAY. Veterans are cordially invited.

•Franklinton Junior High: The program will begin at 1:30 pm FRIDAY and all veterans are invited.
