The Washington Parish Tourism Commission will be awarding a Marketing/Media scholarship to a 2024 Washington Parish high scheool seniorvailable to a 2024 Parish Senior graduating from a Washington Parish High School, public or private.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a 2024 graduating parish senior in May 2024.

Deadline for letters of participation and reference are due August 30, 2023 at 12:00 pm
Applications need to include:
1. Letter of introduction due August 30, 2023
2. Letter of reference from high school teacher due August 30,2023
3. 4 samples of a marketing campaign to include promotion of events, places, activities within Washington Parish for the remainder of 2023 into the summer of 2024 (flyers, brochures, reels, 30 second videos, events promotions or any marketing campaign that can be shared on the webpage, social media; share your talents) due by the end of February 2024.
4. Depending on the number of applicants, an interview process may be held early in March 2024
Requirements for the scholarship:
1. Submit a letter of introduction and one letter of reference from a high school teacher, submit to wptour@bellsouth.net by August 30, 2023
2. Submit at least 4 digital marketing promotions (ad, video, reel, social media, newspaper ad , not limited to these) starting August 2023 to February 2024 to the Washington Parish Tourism Office that highlight events, activities, attractions, places, businesses within Washington Parish. Be creative and unique. Must be submitted by February 28, 2024.
3. Event submissions must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the event.
4. All media submitted to the Washington Parish Tourism Commission become the property of the Washington Parish Tourism Commission. The creator/applicant releases all rights.
5. nterviews may be held in Spring of 2024 for final submission of the candidate for the award.
