A Sixties Celebration
My first childhood school friend has turned 60! Her family, friends and classmates gathered at Mike's Seafood House in Amite for laughter and fun. We celebrated Barbara Brock turning 60 years old. We ordered appetizers and plenty of seafood/fish. We shared gifts with her and later enjoyed a delicious homemade German Chocolate cake made by Sabrina Watson. The cake was a great treat to a perfect evening. May God bless her to see many more birthdays.

Salvage Rice
If you burn rice while cooking it, do not stir the bottom of the pot. Place a slice of white bread on top of the rice for about 5-10 minutes. The bread will draw out the burned flavor and aroma, leaving plenty of rice to serve.
