The Washington Parish Free Fair Association recently showcased awards won at the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals (LAFF) annual convention.
The Fair was named 2025 Fair of the Year for District 4 and received an award for Best Cap design.
2025 Fair Honoree Jackie Boone was named LAFF Volunteer of the Year.
In the poster categories, Chad Alsobrooks from Pine High School received a 1st place blue ribbon and Sadie Fowler from Franklinton Primary School received a 3rd place white ribbon for their entries.
In the Queen of Queens pageant, Fair Queen Madeline Willis was named Miss Congeniality.
In other fair news, the theme for the 2026 fair has been released and will echo the national celebration of the country's 250th anniversary: Stars, Stripes, and Washington Parish Nights.
