Entries for the 2025 Washington Parish Watermelon Festival Poster Contest are being sought. Posters will be judged in four divisions and two categories:
Categories: Art and Non-talented Art
Divisions: Primary K-2, Elementary 3-6, Jr. High 7-8, Sr. High 9-12, Adult
All posters will receive ribbons, and the top posters from each division will be displayed at City Hall in Franklinton.
Posters will be judged on originality, neatness and Watermelon festival related theme.
Posters can have media, but no glued pictures attached.
Must be on 12" x 22" poster, that's ½ of a standard poster.
Posters should include title:
Washington Parish Watermelon Festival
Franklinton Fairgrounds
July 11-13, 2025
On the back of the poster include:
Student's name, School, Grade, Teacher's name, Parent phone number
Posters are due to the WP LSU AgCenter, 1104 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA by April 7, 2025
