The Waverley Club's annual picnic was held on May 1 at the home of Dick and Juhn Marie Green. Assisting in hostess duties were Wendy Fortenberry, Jamie Matise, Melissa Mauer, Marsha Newman, and Mary Jo Poole.
Lunch was enjoyed poolside at tables located on the varied levels of decking at the Green home. Ladies were assigned to bring a bag or basket lunch, and each one received a number corresponding with a lunch. Prizes were awarded to Hallene Magee for Prettiest, Mary Mobley for Most Creative, and Roseanne Ganley for Most Whimsical.
There was no business meeting, but President Faith Bahm recognized perfect attendance by Mary Jo Poole, Melissa Mauer, Wendy Fortenberry, Mary Mobley and Toni Tageant. Following lunch everyone enjoyed a game of Left, Right, Center led by Wendy Fortenberry. Karen Spears was the lucky winner at the end of the game.
