Wesley Ray UMC:
*Communion Sunday Worship was held on April 12th, with Rev. Anice Moses preaching. Her sermon scripture came from the book of John 20th chapter and was entitled: The Secret Weapon (which is the Holy Spirit). Amen.
School News:
Varnado High School (VHS/VJHS):
*The school is hosting a themed Parent night event entitled, A Louisiana Cultural Festival on Friday, April 17th from 5:30-7:30pm. All are invited and welcomed to attend.

*On Listening:
*I recently had the honor as well as the pleasure of listening to an intriguing 90 plus year old lady reminisce about her past. She shared her recipes for tea cakes, pine needle tea, an arthritis spray and sewing techniques. According to her she created designs for clothing, shoes, belts etc. I definitely intend to try many of these fashion, cooking and medicine tips. I gained knowledge because I took the time to listen and I’m so glad I did. Thank You for graciously sharing, Mrs. O. Moses.
