Hello Everyone, I hope your week is going well thus far and continues to go well. I want to share a mini adventure that I had with my sister Lorraine last week in Bogalusa. While running errands, I was able to “kill two birds with one stone”, that is get my vehicle oil changed and go to a dental appointment. Both places were located within a 2-3 block radius. So, I got my vehicle checked in then Lorraine and I started walking to the dental office. Trust me when I say that there is not enough space in this article for me to convey every detail of that walk. But if you have siblings you understand how adventurous, annoying, fun, etc. the smallest of tasks done together can be. I must say that we both felt somewhat anxious when the sidewalks ran out, during our walk (IYKYK). I got everything done though & I definitely recommend (for those who can) to: Take a Walk with a Sibling.

She was recognized for her participation & attendance @ the Summer 2026 Girls State @ SELU. Lakendra was sponsored by the Professional Women’s Service Club. Best wishes to you Lakendra, in all your future endeavors!

*My 1979 VHS graduating class is still a close-knit group. Our ability to communicate across the states, cities and Washington Parish places where we reside is endearing for me. After Revival Service last week, a group of us gathered together for a picture. This simple event produced smiles & lots of laughter. Our love for one another has stood the test of time and continues to flourish as time passes.
