So, by the time you read this article the Super Bowl will be over, and the winner will still be celebrating, I am sure. I don’t know what the outcome will be, but I sure hope it is the Bengals. Not just because I adore Joe Burrow, but I love a good underdog situation. I am always rooting for those who never or rarely win, those who others talk down about, but in reality; you know there is something special about them. Normally I am just watching the Super Bowl for the commercials and occasionally the half time show, but this year I will gladly watch it all.
Congratulations to our former Enon Eagles Addison Leos and Hayden DiLuca on making Demonettes for Franklinton High School. If any of our other former Eagles make any other support teams, etc please let me know.
Congrats to Elizabeth Burden for winning the Valentine gift certificate from the Enon Library. The library also has Valentine Fun Packs ready for the kids. Stop by and see the ladies and chat a minute. I know they would enjoy your company.
Progress Reports went home on February 14th for Enon Elementary School. The Scholastic Book Fair is this week at school. I know the students are excited for it!
I know I talk bout it every week, but the Youth from Enon Baptist Church are doing their Vegetable Sale for a fundraiser for Youth Camp. Please contact myself, Brother Chris, Miranda Blackwell, or one of the Youth if you are interested in purchasing any. The vegetables will be delivered to the church March 5th and pick up will be from 10:30 am to 12 pm. We will also be having a Bake Sale, and Wild Game Cook Off. We are excited to see what type of entries we get.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the Block Party that will be coming up as well. Blessing of the Food will be February 26th.
Condolences to the families of George Denham and Betty Pittman.
Happy birthday to Cheyenne Brumfield, Miranda Blackwell, Michelle Varnado, Jared Mizell, and Joel Brumfield.
Just remember each day the sun sets a little later and soon it will still be light at about 7:30 pm, which makes it closer to Spring and Summer. I don’t like to rush time, but I like when it stays lighter, and we can do more outside activities together. Annalise is about to start Tennis, and I am not sure if you call it Tennis “Season” or what. This is a new sport to me, and I am not sure how this will work. Maybe I won’t be frowned at if I cheer for my kid? Ha ha
I hope you all have a wonderful week. If you have any information for me to write about just let me know. Until next week…
