Hopefully, you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day and remembered that special significant other in your life with something special. If not, I know where you are - "in the doghouse"! Haha! Sorry, maybe you can do better next time.
February is Love month. We need to exercise this little four-letter word. It's a small word but has much meaning. For some people it is a daily thing to show love, on the other hand there are those who don't know what the word means and never show love to others. First of all, God loved us and sent His Son, Jesus. In return we all are to show love to everyone.
Faith Miller, a sixth grade Mt. Hermon School student was in the musical "Musicville" held at the Franklinton Primary Auditorium. Elementary students and teachers all over the parish went to see the performance and was open to the public Thursday and Friday night. I didn't get to see the musical, but heard it was great. By the way, we are especially proud of Faith. She is the daughter of Fame and Jason Miller of the Mt. Pisgah community.

Monday night, February 7th, I attended the Mt. Hermon girls' basketball game. The visiting team was Varnado. Getting off to a good start, we made the first points and led the entire game. Varnado was shut out completely the first quarter. The Yellow Jackets sacked up 50 points with Varnado scoring 30 points. Leading in scoring for Mt. Hermon was Brooklyn Falgout with 15 points followed by Bailey Fortenberry with 10 points. Before the game began Breanna LaSalle, a senior cheerleader was recognized, receiving flowers and balloons. Faith Miller sang the National Anthem. She did a great job.
Happy belated birthday to Uncle Paul Alford on February 1st from your nephew Rick Schilling.
Sympathy to the family of Susan Duncan who recently passed away. She is the wife of Jody Duncan who lives in Jasper, AR from your Mt. Pisgah friends.
Thought for the week! Lord, give me the faith to keep trusting You, even when You say NO.
Until next week - same time - same station. Be safe
