We made it through the first week of school. Of course there are always hiccups along the way, but it was a pretty good week. There is no tired like first week of teaching tired, and this year I am exhausted, but I am so excited about working with my new and former students. I hope that all of your kiddos had a great first day back to school! I am still trying to get into the swing of things, hopefully that will be soon. (haha)
My best friend Julie Perry Mills was down from North Carolina visiting her sweet mama, Mrs. Raylene. We were able to spend some time together, have lunch, drink coffee, etc. I am so happy she was able to come visit, I sure miss her, but our time together is so sweet when she is home. I may need to go visit her soon!
Annalise had a great last first day of school. Senior year is upon us, and she had a wonderful time at Senior Sunrise and loves her classes. Gracie will begin her second semester at Southeastern Louisiana University in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to a successful semester/school year.
Enon Baptist Church had Blessing of the Backpacks (and in our case car keys and purse) on Sunday. A prayer was prayed over all students, bus drivers, staff, administration, etc for a safe and good year. Regular Wednesday night activities will resume August 14th.
