Hello there, I know most people enjoyed the 4th of July celebrations with so many families and friends that came home. There were so many family reunions and get-togethers all over the place.
Listen, remember that the (late) Ralph Manning Snowballs Stand is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3 pm to 6:30 pm, so come get your sugar on and take it back home.
Make sure your schedule is going to be open! On Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 4:00 pm there will be a Dedication Musical Appreciation Program "Honoring" Sis. Dorothy Jean Bickham. It will be at Faith In The Word Ministry, 23749 Hwy 430, Pastor Jacob Tate, Jr., and featuring a special choir is Third District Choir. We invite all choirs, church groups, and soloists to join in. I am so glad that they are honoring Sis. Dorothy Jean Bickham. She has sung so beautifully at so many places for so many people. She sang for me at my wedding at New Jerusalem MBC back on December 7, 1991. The song was "You Light Up My Life." Only God knows her heart.
Also in church news: We pray for the Drake family. Elder Drake took his time to speak, very slowly, to everyone, he preached, and she played so well.
The pastor of Winan United Methodist Church, Rev. Sweetwine invites the public on the fourth Sunday in August at 11:00 am, family and friends' day. Come and bring a friend with you. He also preaches the word!
