I hope you all had a great Independence Day! July 4thhas always been a fun day for me, memories of cookouts, swimming, eating watermelon, and watching fireworks. This year we have been kind of low key. We are grateful for our freedoms and those who helped us reach that point.
We were on vacation the past couple of weeks, sorry I missed y’all last week. You know how hot it was here, and shockingly in Tennessee it was triple digits somedays. My friends from up there said to stop bringing the heat up when we visit! We were able to see several bears, deer, turkey, and even a coyote. I love spending time in the mountains. Somehow the mountains and mountain air help to relieve stress and I can decompress, of course going to the beach helps as well. I just love to travel near and far!
The Youth from Enon Baptist Church spent this last week at Camp Fuego. I am so excited to hear about what all they learned and experienced while there. I know that they had a great time and became so much closer to the Lord. Thank you for praying for them while they were gone.
Enon Baptist Church had their annual 4th of July celebration at Riverbend on July 3rd. Fellowship, watermelon, and ice cream are always a good time.
July 10th will be Youth Sunday. Happy Birthday to Jennifer Ginn, Chris Hickman, Dione D’Luca, Matthew Ginn, Pat Long, Robert Polk, and Leland Yates. I hope you all had a wonderful day. Happy Anniversary to those celebrating as well.
The Lord’s Supper will be observed on July 10th.

I know it is TOO SOON to be talking about school supplies, but if you are needing the supply lists, check out Enon Elementary School’s Facebook page or website. They had a Puppets in Action for the Summer School Finale last week. I know they had an amazing time dancing and singing with the puppets. If you are needing suggestions on books to read, go visit the sweet ladies at the Enon Library. They always have wonderful suggestions and new books are coming in each week. They also have videos and audio books.
