Sunday, July 24th the Youth of Enon Baptist Church will have Youth Sunday at church. They will be telling all about what they learned at Camp Fuego and leading worship. We would love to have you join us. On Sunday night, August 21st, we will be hosting Pastor Isaac and Shupe Makashinyi. They are from Lusaka, Zambia, and will be visiting the U.S. during the month of August to see some of the pastors and churches who have been instrumental in their ministry. This will be in the sanctuary at 6 pm. Blessing of the food will be July 23rd. Worship practice is on Wednesday nights at 7 pm. July 30th will be the Women’s Marshmallow Olympics. This is going to be an awesome event. August 6th will be Parent’s Night Out/Paint Party. August 13th will be Back to School Splashdown. More information is to come about each event.

The Enon Library had a great Summer Reading Program. They had 83 graduates this summer! That is a phenomenal number of kiddos! District #8 Fire Dept helped wind up the program by bringing the fire truck to cool the kids off and they also had root beer floats as well. If you were unable to attend, stop by and pick up your goodie bag and certificate at the library. Our Parish Library Director, Mrs. Sonnet Ireland, was named Public Librarian of the Year. Congrats!
Enon Elementary School will have a Meet Your Teacher on August 3, 2022. 5th and 6th grade: 11 to 12, 3rd and 4th grade 12 to 1, 1st and 2nd grade 1 to 2, and PreK and Kindergarten 2 to 3. I hope you all have a great week. I am not ready to get back into the swing of things as far as going back to work, but I know that it will be a great year! I am not ready to have a SENIOR and a Sophomore, but here we are! I can’t believe we are looking at colleges/universities and scholarships, but we are excited as well.
