November, the month to think about everything we are grateful and thankful for. I think we can all say that we were very thankful for the rain we got last week.

The MHS Fall Fest was postponed a day due to the rain. But that didn’t stop people from showing up on Saturday. The weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time!
Basketball season is underway! The next high school home game is Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 5 PM. MHS vs. Sumner. The jr. high teams will play Pine (home game) Monday, Nov. 11th at 5 PM.
The next school board meeting is Thursday, Nov. 7th at Mt. Hermon School, starting at 6 PM. If you wish to speak, you must call the school board office 48 hours prior to the meeting. Try to attend, if you can. It’s important for the community to support MHS.
Bro. Rex Simmons, from Beaumont, Texas, was the guest speaker last Sunday at Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church, in the morning service. In our Hope Alive service, he shared with us how God turned his life around. It was also Chip Night.
Hope Alive is a 12 step, court approved, faith-based ministry for anyone with hurts, habits and hang ups. Join us on Sunday evenings at 6 PM for food and fellowship, and 7 PM for meetings. Dress is casual. All are welcome.
The Young at Hearts will have their November gathering Nov. 14th at Mike’s Catfish in Amite. They will meet at 11:30 AM.
