Mt. Hermon School
Five MHS high school students have had an amazing opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., as part of the Southeastern Louisiana University Upward Bound Program. Savannah Mitchell, Darci Lourigan, Khuyen Helms, Tuyen Helms and Daeshaun James enjoyed touring our nation's capital city. They also spent time in Gatlinburg, Tn. MHS is proud of you all.
Prep Day is Tuesday, July 26th. From 9-10:30 AM, 7th-9th grades will be taking pictures for student ID, paying class fees, receving their schedule, and they may purchase spirit shirts. From 10:30-12 PM, the 10th-12th graders will do the same. 7th and 8th graders are to wear gray polo shirts, and 9th-12th should wear black or white polo shirts.
The retired employees of MHS will meet for breakfast Tuesday, July 26th from 9-11 AM at Sugar Shack in Franklinton.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Family Fun Day is scheduled for August 20th at Bogue Chitto State Park.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
The Senior Adults will gather at the church this Thursday, July 21st at 11 AM for lunch.
Christmas in July is in effect. Each family/household is encouraged to pack at least one shoebox with items such as school supplies, hygiene products, socks, toys, etc. as part of Operation Christmas Child. Please return to the church by July 31st.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The youth group will take part in a mission retreat this week at Percy Quin State Park. Friday evening at 7 PM, everyone is invited to join the youth. At that time, Bro. Hunter Cooper will be leading the worship, and Bro. William Hutson will bring the message.
The Young At Heart members will meet this Saturday, 12 PM at The Burger Basket (Nyla's) in Osyka, Ms.
