Summertime is here folks! I do believe summertime has arrived. It has been hot for me the past few days. We have several things coming to us at church. A chicken dinner fundraiser will be on May 25th. Each plate will be $10. Deadline to place orders is May 17th. For further information contact Jarod Lebo. Vacation Bible School will be June 3rd through the 7th 9 am through 12 pm each day. The ages to attend are 4 years old through 6th grade. Please mark these dates on your calendar.
Graduation recognition was last Sunday May 5th. Bro. Lenard presented MHS Senior Alexis Trahan with a bible. She is the daughter of Russell Len and Cherie Smith. Alexis, we are proud of you. Keep the Lord first in your life and everything else will fall into its proper place. He will bless you always. We love you.

Dylan and Robin Clark of Kentwood are happy to announce the birth of their first heir, a baby boy, named Luke Cole, born on April 9th. The little prince weighed eight pounds and measured 19 ½ inches long. His grandparents are Cindy Woodard and the late Ralph Woodard of Mt. Hermon, Jerry and Betty Clark of Kentwood, Laura Schillings, and the late Billy Schillings of Mt. Hermon.
Jackie and I went to the Farm Bureau supper held at Hillcrest Baptist Church. We had a good supper of Red Beans and Rice, salad, and dessert. The queen contest was followed by several young ladies who were beautifully dressed for the occasion. Dilon Sumrall was crowned the new queen. A brief business meeting was held. It was great getting to see them; including others I don't see often.
My buddy Chris Burch came to visit with me on Sunday afternoon. We had cauliflower soup and brownies. We sat on the front porch having a few good laughs and enjoying the cool breeze.
Frances Schilling and I enjoyed the fifth Sunday night singing held at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Other community churches were there. A fellowship time was also enjoyed in the church fellowship hall with lots of goodies.
Sue Alford's daughter Kristie and children were home for a weekend visit. They enjoyed their time together.
I have a couple more days to sub on my calendar. The last day for students is May 21st.
Congratulations to our MHS graduating Seniors. We are very proud of you.
Take care of yourself. I look forward to visiting with you next time. Same time! Same Station! Love ya! Nell
