Greetings once again to all my faithful readers! We surely have been having some beautiful spring days until Wednesday, March 31st when the forecast was speaking of gusty winds, heavy rain and possibility of some tornados. Thank the Lord, it wasn't as bad as predicted. We do know that those tornados are unpredictable and do lots of damage. Tuesday a week ago the bad weather hit New Orleans and did lots of damage.
Saturday night, March 12th, a surprise birthday celebration honoring Sara and Chris Burch was held at their brother Charlie's home. Balloons and lots of twinkling lights added a flair for the celebration. Sara's cake was a two-layer round iced in pink with butterflies and candles. Chris' cake was a two-layer square iced in soft blue with a picture of Reba and Dolly and lighted candles. Approximately thirty-five were on hand to enjoy tacos with all the trimmings and birthday cake. That night was very cold and windy but did not put a damper on the planned event.
It was a real treat having my granddaughters Jennifer and Breanna with the boys and the baby visiting. We played with Eva while the boys played together. I missed seeing Alaya and Emily. They were at school.
Students and teachers are looking forward to Easter Spring Break - April 11th - 18th. Time for some R and R.

Seventeen Red Hat ladies gathered at Don's Seafood in Hammond for their March outing. Several of us visited with Ruth Nell and went shopping before returning home. The day was filled with lots of chit chat.
Frances and I visited with Richard Schilling on Monday a week ago and enjoyed hot dogs, chips, strawberries, and congealed salad. He was happy to have us.
Continue to pray for the sick, having treatments, the hospital, nursing home and those who have lost loved ones.
Thought for the week! Though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. (1 Peter 1:8)
